Working with the Square Takeoff Proposal
The Proposal feature works with projects created using the project type Estimate Worksheet without Blueprints.
Once you have your line items entered into the estimate worksheet, select the Proposal tab at the top of the page.
The Proposal generates a polished, client-ready presentation to hand off at the end of your estimating process.
Before you start: Your Terms & Conditions and Proposal Template need to be set up in System Config, on the left hand panel, first.
Customizing your proposal: On the right-hand panel of the Proposal screen, you can control how much detail is shown:
Main Section – choose to show company and client details
Estimate Details – choose to show limited or full line-item information
Contract Selections – toggle on/off your Payment Schedule, Assumptions, Terms & Conditions, and Signature block
Once you've made your selections, save the proposal. You can continue adding takeoffs back in the estimate worksheet, and your proposal settings will carry over automatically.
Finishing up: Save your proposal to generate a PDF (found under Files — you can save multiple versions), then view or print it as needed.
